We are thrilled to have the “JAR on the BAR” promotion with several local restaurants.
In hopes of getting more folks to learn about this Havre de Grace Native Son – Ernest Burke, a bit about the Negro League and the life of a great athlete and humanitarian, we’ve placed fundraising containers on the bars at Coakley’s Pub, MacGregor’s Restaurant and Rodger’s House Tavern.
During the baseball games, we hope you’ll consider throwing a few coins, bills or checks into the containers. Our goal: to have a statue created to commemorate the life of Ernest Burke! We thank the participating restaurants for indulging us. And we thank each and every one of you who help spread the word and/or make a contribution. If, by chance, there is someone out there who also wants to have a “JAR on the BAR” (on counter or table), just give Camay a call and we’ll set you up! Thank you again!
